While perusing the local Craig's List I saw a listing for a First Gear, Kenya, motorcycle jacket. It looked nice, but I hadn't heard of First Gear, so I Googled them. I didn't find the "Kenya" model, but the current jackets had some nice features and weren't cheap. Off I went to look at it. Got there and the jacket looked brand new! Not faded or worn anywhere. The guy said his brother bought it to wear around because he thought it looked cool, then only wore it a few times. I threw the man $30, and said thanks.

Googled a little more today and found a 1999 review. I discovered that it originally came with a zip out fleece liner, that I didn't get, but hey, if I'm cold I can put a fleece on underneath. List $264!

The wife didn't share my point of view that I had saved $230, she viewed it as another $30 spent on the motorcycle. lol, she really doesn't care what I spend but likes to play her part knocking me down a notch.

 

That is really good looking to me. Both of my jackets say "Kawasaki" on them and are green, white, and black. Sometimes I wish I would have bought a more neutral looking jacket like that so I don't look like some kind of fanboy or some sort of wannabe rider. But I bought the jackets right after I bought the bike, when I was all excited. How's the padding on your new jacket?

 

I bought a red Kawasaki jacket at the dealer, marked down 40$ from the same jacket in blue or gray. Apparently red is not popular?....

I'm looking for a green kawi jacket too. Anyone know where to find one? Leatherup.com has quite a few nice jackets at good prices but none in green.
