Well it looks like I may have a change of plans. I'll probably keep the KLX for a bit longer afterall. I was going to use my WR250x as an all-rounder, getting a second set of wheels for dirt, but I've decided that changing wheels back and forth might be more trouble than I want to bother with. So I've updated the for sale list. The items that have already sold will be shipped today. I've left a few other items for sale that will help fund some mods for the WR. What doesn't sell, I will probably keep and put back on the KLX.

For anyone that's interested, I rode the WR and the KLX351 back to back yesterday. I discovered that the KLX pulls much harder and has better throttle response (due to the 351 kit I'm sure). The WR pulls decently at higher RPM's. The WR rides better at highway speeds, but I'm sure the smooth tires help. I find that the KLX has more vibration felt through the tank, footpegs, and engine than the WR. As for dirt riding, I like the way the power delivery is on the KLX better. So for now the WR will be my 90%street/10% dirt bike, and the KLX will be my 90% dirt/10% street bike.

I'd love to snag the skidplate and radiator guards, but I don't have that much cash right now. Besides, will the radiator guards even fit with the big-*** Acerbis tank?

Rob,
Those Scorpion rad guards look a bit different than my Uniguards which have a longer brace mounting back from the radiators. With the Acerbis tank, the guards fit okay, but I had to cut a bunch away from that brace to get it to fit. Now I'm not even using the brace, just the guards that appear similar to the Scorpions in the photo.

I don't know about the Acerbis tank, but they do fit with my oversize IMS tank.
