2009 KLX 250 S with 450 miles. Looks perfect. Runs better than new.

Here is the deal. I bought this thing new a few months ago because my girlfriend said she wanted to ride on the back and trail ride and short local street rides. We rode it a few times and she decided the passanger seat is too uncomfortable for her. Grrrrr... We have since split up so, I am putting the bike up for sale.

The bike has never titled and I still have the manufactures’ Certificate of Origin and the temp tags. This bike was broken in right. I did 6 heat cycles on the engine before ever riding it. I did the first oil change at 70 miles. The second at 210miles.

I have made a few mods that significantly improve the ride-ability of the bike. I have installed a DynoJet Jet Kit, installed a 40 pilot jet (for a KLX300) removed the airbox lid and turned the bike for ride-ability. Have also installed 13x45 gearing (stock is 14x42). The bike is in perfect condition and with the mods is better than new. There are zero hidden defects.

You might have to eat more of your purchase price than that. Better price than buying new, but some real deals on used ones if you can find them. Best of luck with the sale.

Man...I can't believe I spent almost 6k for mine in 08!

 

It still has the warning labels and stickers all over it. This is essentially a NEW BIKE! It will be great for whomever buys it....

 

Don't feel bad Xplosivo1 - a buddy of mine financed an 09. He's paying a $7k note on his 09.. Still paying payments..

Financing a dirt bike - what a horrible financial decision!!

Buy used, save yourself thousands.

 

Poo on used. I like new. Agreed, though: pay cash.
