That's a deal assuming there's nothing mechanically wrong with the bike. Throw in a Tm36-68 (which it should have anyway on a BB) and open up that exhaust and it's a solid bike.
Not surprising it's running lean with only a dj124 in it on a BB331 - Even with the stock exhaust.
It actually looks not half bad without the shrouds with those rad guards on.
Good luck with the sale.

Well the thing is, the bike ran perfectly well for the first couple thousand miles with this setup. I was extremely happy with the power and performance. Easy first gear, wrist-flick power wheelies, third gear pulls up big steep hills, spooling up the rear wheel in deep, loose dirt the whole way, etc. etc. Then the pipe started to glow and **** got stupid fast lol...
I haven't found anything wrong with the bike other than the issues I've mentioned in my ad. I bet a new carb would fix it but I can't really justify the gamble since I'm not totally sure If someone would lend or rent (for cheap) me a carb so I could try it, that'd be awesome!
I'm coming to agree with Bill Blue on one thing, the CVK 34 is a POS, haha...
Thanks for the well-wishes.

Thanks for that update. Sounds like a lot of trouble and very disappointing to hear you had little support after making your purchase.
Can I ask how you're finding the crf450l in comparison? I believe the UK and Canadian/USA versions differ in power?
Regards.

Barneyz750, I actually haven't posted on this forum in several years (notice the dates on these posts). About two years ago, I sold my bikes and got out of riding after one more bad injury... To be honest, I've been feeling like I want to get back into it, but I probably won't...
Anyway, yea, the KLX was a wonderful bike while it worked -- the ultra-low-rpm torque that motor put out with the big bore was such a thrill and so usable. 2nd gear would pull up VERY steep, technical hill climbs at 15 mph -- up and over rock ledges and whatnot. I think you might have me confused with someone else regarding the CRF 450L. After the KLX, I built a 2015 Yamaha XT250 into an enduro bike. It was really nice for the money, other than not having enough power for the really big, serious hill climbs or sand dunes. I put three or four hundred hours on that Yamaha. As for the Honda, personally, I'm not that much of a fan to be honest. In terms of performance, it doesn't compare particularly well with KTM/Husqvarna or Beta, and it doesn't have the stereotypical "Japanese bike reliability and low maintenance". In and of itself, it's a pretty nice bike, but there are better options. If you want a serious trail bike and don't need DRZ400-like reliability, the Beta 390 is at the top for sure.
I'm still waiting for the Japanese to make a reliable, low maintenance, highly streetable 400-class dual sport with fuel injection, a six speed, and relatively low weight (~300 to 320 pounds wet) -- basically a modernized DRZ or a 450 version of Yamaha's WR250R.
