Default Roost deflector

OK, so I'm calling on all the wisdom of theKLX Forum for a simple recommendation.

The wife and I are in need of roost deflectors. I have seen some with water packs on the back. Do deflectors come with these or is it just a camel back worn with a deflector.

We have been searching the net trying to find differences between models. All i can really see is a difference between color and brand. Are some made better then others? Do we just go for the best price we can find?

Fit and comfort is a big factor... I wouldn't buy online - unless you first had a chance to go and try on some chest protectors at a store.
Women especially have different needs depending on the size of their chest.
I ride with a separate camel pak - usually outside my chest protector. Some people put them inside.

I'm pretty sure your just seeing someone wearing a roost protector and a cammelback water holder.

I wear that combo in the warm weather, and a winter coat with a backback (for pealing off stuff when i get too hot) w/internal camelback in the winter.

KawiWawi's suggestion is well heeded, if it fits horribly you're less likely to want to wear it...

Does anyone make one for larger guys? Acerbis did onnce (zoom ll plus) but no longer. I need a 3x maybe 4x (by US sizing) depending on if they run small or not. Many people that usually wear L buy XL or XXL and I have searched and can't find anything for anyone bigger>

I started out with a roost protector and separate elbow pads and a kidney belt. Now I wear a Leatt "jacket" with all that protection built in. Much more comfortable, plus it stays in place better when on the bike and umm, off the bike. In the summer I wear it over a short sleeve wicking top. Winter, layers go over. I come from a MTB back ground so wearing a Camelback type unit over it all is a natural for me. With the built in packs do you have to remove the armor to get to stuff in the pack?
