Riding with a Passenger ?
Should the suspension be adjusted before you take a passenger? I would like go around the neighborhood with a passenger now and then. Will it bottom out with adjusting anything? Has anyone had a comfortable ride with a passenger?

I've ridden *woman* on my bike before with my dad riding. It felt OK going down some trails and a gravel road. We definately had it loaded down though. I'm close to 200 in gear and my dad probably 180+. It wasn't bottoming out, but it was pretty loaded.
The passenger pegs are pretty high up; if your passenger is average to tall, it won't be very comfortable.
I am glad this came up, I have been thinking about giving a friend of mine a ride. She rides motorcycles so it shouldn't be too hard.

Rode tandem all the way through Teddy Roosevelt Natl Park. Rear suspension was too light and we bottomed a couple times. Its hard to find a good medium, but I stiffened it up to compensate. The tool they give sucks for adjusting without taking the stuff off the bike... si I use the ol screwdriver trick. It all depends on how and where you ride nd how heavy you are......
BTW, riding past a Buffalo in the road at a distance of 5 feet is a bit unnerving.

Me and my woman go riding on the KLX all the time. I am about 165 with no gear, she's about 115 with no gear, and the bike does alright. I don't think it was quite built for it, but we can ride on some decently rough terrain together. Gets tough sometimes but still fun.
