Riding at 108 Degree's
Just got back from a 3-hour ride in the desert - Damn, it was HOT! Temps were pushing 108 with just 8% humidity, thank god for Bartlett Lake at the half-way point and my CamelBak. I jumped in the lake with everything on, even my mx boots. Except for a couple of turkey vultures, I was the only idiot around for miles. Hey, when you gotta ride - you gotta ride! The heat seemed to slow the KLX down a little but no overheating problems and the local news channel said the asphalt is at 139 degrees - hope I get those new Dunlops soon.

Wow that is hot, I rode in a poker run last year and I think it was close to 100, and it was brutal. Of course here is was probably 60% humidity. Where are the pictures?

I'll upload them manana if you can wait, otherwise it's couch, Corona and a lime time. Think I'll watch 'Dust to Glory' for the 130th time too - Mike "Mouse" McCoy doing the Baja 1000 solo might inspire me to ride 4-hours tomorrow when it hits 113 degrees. Oh, and the boots were totally dry by the time I got home.
