Ride Report: Jsac's House
Yesterday, Pete(dive2you), Dave(divodave), and myself made the trek up to Jerry's(Jsac) house to go riding with him and his friend Joe. Jerry showed us a great time down the local trails. Most of the terrain was waste land from coal mining. Most of the trails were wide enough for atv to fit down then they would open up to large open areas of coal by-product with some pretty big piles and lots of hill climbs. The terrain was very loose, almost like black sand at times. The hill climbs proved to be too much for Dave's half worn Hong Kong tire in these areas. The Trackmasters performed very well. The trails were connect by limited street time. We did hit some tighter more technical woods riding trails beforewe hit a local bar for lunch. In a short time were back on the bikes. We then headed to some old railroad track that have had all the rails and ties taken up and headed north. This was mostly higher speeds(50-60mph+) race to see who could find the puddles first and get the next guy wet. Dave and Jerry would use there super loud pipes and come up next to you, make you loose your concentraion and then pass. We followed the railway until it ended which was 5-10 miles into New York state. We took the streets about half way back until we met up with the railway again and back to Jerry's house. All in all it was a great ride. We logged around a 100 miles of riding with no major crashes, no break downs, no tickets, and no one getting hurt(with the exception of the rock from Joe's bike that I took to the collar bone that left a nice lump). Jerry and Dave will have to chime in with pictures, they were the ones with the cameras.

We really had a great day. The trails and riding were top notch as was the company. We seen a lot of wildlife, including my first ever black bear (in the wild) stood up on its hind legs, gave us a look & bolted into the brush, SWEET!
I have put some pics & video on the photobucket sticky, sub-folder DivoDave.
This is a destination that isdefinitely worth the trip.
Jerry & his lovely wife Laura (& dog, "Fancy")were the epitomy of hospitality, his buddy Joe (DR400) is a cool dude to run with.
Pete & I did some exploring near his house on Sunday, awesome find. Lots of river crossings (filled my boots a couple of times LOL)river tunnels under highways, mountains & power line trails.
Later.
