I went to lowes the other day and bought an electric pressure washer for about $180 and it has the perfect amount of pressure to clean the dry clay off the bike. You have to watch the stickers though. Some of the local car washes get mad when you bring muddy vehicles in.

Just as Motoguy said getting used to riding on the back tire is taking some getting used to. I don't think I am cornering as fast as he is and it still makes me nervous on the trails. I definaltely want a more aggressive tire settup before I increase my speed on the trails. Practice makes perfect or broken bones I've heard.

You might try some #000 steel wool with some soap and water, or maybe a wet Brillow pad on that head pipe. Since its stainless steel it might bring back some luster. Or if you have access to a bead blaster that might take the blue brown tint out of it. Cant say for sure though. Im a machinst and when a metal turns brown and blue , usually it can be made to shine with emory paper , scotch brite or the like. You might try on the bottom first where you cant see , just to be safe.

Thanks for the suggestions, but if it happened once, it will happen again. This won't be the last time I get the engine hot enough to blue the pipe. I acutally don't mind how it looks with it that way. It shows that I use the bike for it's intended purpose.
