Default Ride Pics Sunday 6/20

Hey all-

Just wanted to throw up some pics from Sundays ride. I'm terrible at posting up ride reports so please bear with me. I hope to be getting a full fledged report posted up here before the summer's out when me and my son go on a big ride, Lord willing.

First thing's first. Click on the video clip of a Timber Rattlesnake I came across. I usually see one of these guys once a season, but now I've seen one for the second weekend in a row. These are very dangerous and intimidating animals. I must admit that I was nervous and my heart was racing a bit when I filmed this clip. You can hear the snake rattling at me as a warning at the onset of this clip. A bit of trivia, the timber rattlesnake is depicted on the "Don't Tread On Me" flag from early and contemporary American History.

I started out the day at a local quarry I hadn't been to in awhile. Private property but I love the hill climb getting into the place. Didn't see any No Tresspassing signs sooo...

Some trail pics. Alot of really rocky patches. These trails are up on Braddock Mountain in Frederick, MD.

Here's my favorite jump on the trails. You can't get too carried away on it as it's going down hill. But I get some decent air out of this one.

Had one of my best days on the trail in a long time. You know how it goes, some days you're rockin' and other days you're slidin'. Here are a few parting pics.

I didn't realize there were rattlesnakes in Maryland until I had a close encounter with one a few years back on my KDX. I'm so paranoid about them now that I watch my step when taking out the trash. The Timber Rattlersnake flags:

Absolutely stunning riding grounds you have there! Perfect trails for the little KLX.

I hate snakes, I really hate those things....
