Ride with my sister

Ride with my sister
My sister starts work at Bellingen in a week or so. Seeing as she had not ridden her EL250 Kawasaki very far before she was lacking a bit in confidence, so of course big brother to the rescue !!!!
I'll ride with you down and back says me. Well we planned it for last weekend but of course it was pouring rain Saturday and Sunday Vikki had to work. Ok try again this weekend, S/M rims back on (didn't get to use the trail tyres) [:@] bike hadn't even been started for 2 weeks cause of the rain. Most of Australia is in the worst drought for 100's of years and we have had 2 weeks of rain !!!!
Anyway on to the ride, first up the map
here are our bikes ready to leave Vikki's house.
The EL is a cruiser style 250 and as such is nice and low for Vikki. We cruised down the Pacific Highway (Highway No.1 goes right round Australia) until just past Pine Creek, turned off the highway onto the Old Pacific Highway as Vikki was keen to avoid the large amount of traffic that cruises the Highway. We crossed the historic Raleigh bridge
and cruised around the roundabout just past the bridge
and onto the Waterfall Way. Up through Fernmount and onto Bellingen
We got to Bello as the locals call it and couldn't get out of our jackets soon enough, it was hot. We checked out Vikki's new work place
from a shady tree or 2.
I found this
so I had to take a pic just for Deej. We sat for a while but then I needed a cold drink so we donned out gear again and stopped off at the Bellingen Swiss Patisserie and Bakery
for a cold drink and an apple turnover with fresh cream ... mmmm yumm. After sitting in the shade of an umbrella for a while and enjoying our drinks and sweets we remounted once more and headed back into the heat reflecting off the tar.
I suggested we go back along North Bank Rd which is a tight, narrow and windy road used by local in 4wds and livestock. While I took off and had a bit of fun in the twistys Vikki just took it easy and cruised that bad boy towards home.
hey sis
hey bro
Once we got back to Vikki's it was still hot so we came to my place and dived into the pool then I got ready for work lol. A pleasant couple of hours ride of around 70kms.
Cheers
