Default replacement head ?

Just pulled my motor apart to get ready to do the 351. Head may need to be replaced. Think I am just going to order new. When they list it as a head assembly for $546 is that complete or just a bare head?

Do you have a link to show how things are illustrated?

I'd hope that calling it "head assembly" means complete.

2009 Kawasaki KLX250S KLX250T Parts, 2009 Kawasaki KLX250S KLX250T OEM Parts - BikeBandit.com

Looked at it again. Very doubtful. Don't even see the cams in the illustration.

Yup! No cams. No valves, springs, keepers, etc. Just what's in this pic.

Keep an eye on eBay.

Why do think you may need a new head? You may have mentioned this elsewhere but I missed reading it there.

Not sure what happened. Bike has never been run low on oil. But there is deferentially wear.

Man i found similar wear when I tore down for my 351 last week. I personally never ran it low but cant speak for previous owners.

I don't think that's so bad. You might get away with polishing out most of the scratches. I don't see pitting. Others may not agree. What do you think, Others?

Look ok to me, polish the areas and Plexigauge to see what the clearances are.
The tread on head with the 300 head looked bad not yours.
