Default Replaced spark plug - picture inside

This morning, Iīve stopped at the dealer on the way to work to replace the spark plug. Before you say I couldīve done it myself, note that I donīt have auto tools at home and labor was cheap anyways.
So, I took a picture so you guys can take a look at it and confirm if it looks ok. It looks fine to me. The picture makes the "hook" thing (donīt know the name) looks white, but in fact itīs a gray color. My bike has a little over 19,000Km (I bought it new February/2011) and this is the original spark plug.

Is it ok?

Looks fine to me. Nice color deposit on the "electrode." No hassle on the lack of tools from me. Seriously, some folks just don't have the opportunity for such, and that's cool. The main thing is getting the maintenance done; whoever does it! Good job!!

... I use my bike to commute to work; no matter what the weather is. Itīs ~90km/day round trip. I ride it on weekends, too, but not very often.

Still running strong.

Malves,
Didn't your bike come with the little tool kit? Mine includes a spark plug wrench that works okay for removing the spark plug. I'm not knocking you for using a dealer, especially if the labor rates are acceptable.

With that much seat time, are you using the stock seat or have you upgraded?

Keep racking up the kms!

Yes, it did. Heh..You talking about the screwdriver handle and a wrench (marked as size 17 in my tool set), that I just realized how it works? But shouldn't I torque it?

No, I didn't upgrade it. Still the stock seat. I just got used to it. It doesn't bother me. I am 5'10", 170 lbs, if that would matter. I also don't seat fully upfront, but middle of the seat. It feels more natural and comfortable. And it helps with the wheelies.

Yes, technically it should be torqued, but I've never put a torque wrench on a spark plug. I suppose that's one of those 'experience' things. Don't strip it out...that would be a bad thing . My stock Kaw tools in the bag have come in very handy as the riding buddies get lots of use out of it when their bikes break.
