Default repack fmf q4I

Installed the FMF Q4. I can tell a differance already. Waiting on dyno jets. Anyhow do you guys repack every 15-20hrs. If you dont what happens?

I think if you keep water out of it I think you could go at least twice what they suggest. The material gets stiff and packed and hard. I helped a friend rebuild one a couple weeks ago that probably had 150 hrs. on it and it needed it.

I repacked my q4 after almost 2years, not sure on the hours but it was a couple thousand miles, the old stuff looked fine. I wouldn't worry about it until you hear it getting loud. I put pics in a thread on here if you want to search for it.

Mine went bad in the first 1,000 miles. FMF repacking stuff is much better than what comes in the muffler. It should last a little longer.

I bought the generic Lexx brand packing material from RMATV. $7 So far it's held up great. It felt pretty solid when i put it in.

Yea my buddy bought the FMF stuff and it was nice, it was an old one on a 4wheeler that most places said was too outdated for parts and he needed some. He called FMF and they sent him a new end cap and a universal kit and with some elbow grease it looked new when done.
