97-99 klx300
94-98 klx250
Question is will this sprocket fit an 09 klx250s? Does anyone know?
Their web site doesn't list the 09 klx250s....
This was an ebay purchase that said it fit an 09 but I don't wanna remove it from the packaging to test fit it. Haven't torn down the bike yet to compare it to the stocker.
Thanks in advance. Mike

Interesting. Renthal's listing shows all KLX300 and pre-'06 KLX250's use the same part number. The '06-'10 model KLX250's use a different part number. I would have thought that anything that would fit the KLX300 would fit the later KLX250.

The 300 sprocket spacing is wrong, it'll spline up right though, so if they should be including a spacer or the ability to reverse the sprocket face to change the offset,.
The "correct" klx250s part will also fit the quads, KSF 250 Mojave 87-03, KEF 300 Lakota 95-03. I check those models to verify getting the right part. Some vendors would be happy to unknowingly sell the 300 part.

Thanks for the replys.
This rear sprocket looks like it will work, but since the web site gave me no confirming information I thought better to ask the pros here.
I still have to get a counter shaft sprocket. I think I will order a stock c/s sprocket from the dealer. Sounds like a gamble to try to order the right one online.
Thanks again

Part number 112U. Fits all KLX250/300 bikes.
As far as I know there is no front sprocket for the KLX250 (06 and later) available from Renthal.

WOK, Renthal's listing in the Tucker-Rocky catalog shows a separate part number for the '06-'10 model...80-1110. I realize that's not a Renthal part number, but it looks like they offer a separate part for the '06-'10 models.
That said, on the JT site they show diagrams and measurements of various points on their sprockets. From studying that, it looks like '03-'07 KLX300R and the '06-'10 KLX250S use the same front sprocket. The spline and the shouldered flange on the sprocket look the same at an 8.5mm width. However, the part numbers for a 14T sprocket are different between the 300 and 250. The '97-'02 KLX300R sprocket uses a different spline and material width, so it looks totally different. I'm using the JT front and rear sprocket for my '06 KLX250S, and of course it works fine. I can see why people are confused when you look at catalogs and part numbers. JT was the only one that I saw that offered a diagram pic and some measurements on different points on the sprocket.
