Default removing front tire........

I have no mechanical skills what so ever, but I am attempting to change front tire tube because it keeps going flat. Anyway, I removed the 4 small nuts on the throttle side and that made the fork jump off....so far so good, now though...the blackspeedo thing wont budge and the other side of thewheel wont come off........ WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING WRONG???????

This has got to be the most stupid question ever, and I'll take that award if you can help an idiot get the wheel off....................

Thanks-
Dave

the axle is screwed into the other side of the fork... you have to unscrew it... its tight.... and take the philips screw out of the speedo cable and the cable pulls out of the black housing.... once the axle is unscrewed it all will come right off

Yeah, that's what I thought......was on real tight!!!!

Got it off, new tube in, bead set already???? I think. Gonna wait 15 min to ensure no leaks and will put back on!!!!

WOW, once I got thewheel off I was surprised at how easy it was to replace tube and put tire back on!!!

I filled it up to 36psi, did not hear any POP to ensure bead is good, so I'm just gonna see if it leaks and lower it back down to 20psi!!!

This site rocks.........thanks for the fast response, it's 50 degrees today in north east jersey, wanna take full advantage of the day.

Double D, where you riden up there?? Stokes State Forest???

I'm from Central Jersey but almost exclusively ride South Jersey Pine Barons State Forests...

Well, I guess I'm not NORTH but Central also. I found some decent trails in Jamesburg, not sure if it's private, county or state but I see Quads there alot!!

It's not the best, but for a noobie like me it's impressive......................

Well I really messed something up now!!!!!!! I borrowed a lift from a friend of mine so things would go easy.......I have the whell on, but the front brake handle is waaayyyy too loose and the brake makes a grinding noise when I spin the wheel.

I really screwed up now cuz I have no idea what the hell I did, I thought you just put wheel up to forks, tighten long axle bolt, put speedo in and than put on the 4 other small nuts...........

AGAIN I NEED HELP.........................

THANKS
Dave

It sounds like one of the brake pads fell out, look on the floor. Other than that I don'r know what else it could be.

OK, both pads are there.........one is mounted on the outside not easy to move and I'm guessing the other one on the inside comes out real easy???I just pulled on it and it came off but attatched on the bottom kinda like a swing action...............now my question here is......Does the metal wheel ring brake thing from the wheelgo between those pads or towards the inside leaving those two together?????

YES I am stupid, but please help anyway!!!!

Thanks

Are you talking about the rotor? It is the disk thing with the slots in it, yes the pads go one on each side of it.

So 41080 goes between 43082 I hope that helps.
