Why would you want to remove any part of the cooling system? If the fan comes on once and a while that simply means the temperature sensor says the coolant is hot enough to need the fan to cool it down.

If you think something is wrong it would most likely be the sensor is bad, the thermostat may not be opening when it should, or that the coolant system is clogged up causing the coolant to get too hot. The fan operating means the system is working right.

No i think it works as it should, what i mean is i was wondering maybe it doesn't even need cooling system at all because it rarely get hot plus some 250 doesn't have liquid cooling system at all. Was trying to figure diet ways!

Cycloholic,
Definitely cannot just remove the cooling system on a water-cooled engine. They are designed very differently than an air-cooled engine and would have no way to extract heat without water flowing through them. I think you will have to look elsewhere for your weight savings.

Cheers!

Cooling is either done using fins or liquid and a radiator. The liquid cooled is best, because it keeps more uniform cooling . Without fins or liquid, the piston will seize in the cylinder fairly quickly considering combustion will easily be over 550°C. That takes fins in the breeze or liquid and a radiator to cool and keep from seizing pistons. I'm betting your system is just fine. You did good, asking the question before doing something that could destroy your bike. Continue to ask and learn You could also do research by googling things like liquid cooling in motorcycles or how motorcycle engines say cool.
