Thumbs up Carb Mods

Thanks Cliff, Rocco & WestOZ - All good stuff and surely will save me some time when I make my mods next week. I like to go real slow and lay things out so they go right back in same order, etc. The tip on the spring/needle is very much appreciated.

Cliffsta - any chance of uploading a video with sound of your new ride? 74 mpg is awesome!

Thanks again guys - You Rock!

Very cool to here that the mileage did not suffer too much. I will definately go for the jet kit and air box mods, and look for a muffler in a few months. Is the KX300 and the Muzzy header pipe of a much larger diameter?

Default VID of the KLX with jet kit.

Sorry for the delay in reply.

Still getting a consistant 70+ MPG all roads / gravel / dualtrack, some highway. All the trails are still closed due to rain.

What a great forum! Just signed up and have put out a few replies. Like many, I'm a new owner of a 09 KLX250S and am wondering which way to go with the mods. It looks like the standard 09 DJ kit is the ticket. As for the exhaust, there's Muzzy, FMF, 2 brothers, etc. I'm wondering how good the stock header is and if I need to replace it or just go with a slip-on? Any thoughts? (silly question)

Hey Markcr Welcome to KF,,, Yeah you pretty much got it Jet it and pipe it as far as a pipe,, pretty much all good reviews from all the brands out there but people hold there own opinions.. As far as the header,,, well bigger header more air flow.. But me im just going to do the slip one,, muzzy or big gun,, probably will do the muzzy though...
