Red River 2/9
Thunderchild, his son, possibly Shadetree, and I will be meeting at Red River this Saturday, 2/9 at 10:30am to do our own version of Last Man Standing. If you haven't been to Red River you are missing out on some of the best trails in the country. 2700 acres of extreme fun. http://www.redrivermotorcycletrails.com/
Main gate where you pay and where we will meet.

Thanks for the invite! Damn, I'd like to go, but I can't. I'm in Austin so the drive wouldn't be too bad, but I'm still breaking in my bike (I chose the slow way[>:]) and need to develop some more dirt riding skills (new to dirt, but not to motorcycles). Definately keep us posted if y'all go out later this year, I might just be able to make it!

Well, we're still on for the ride. Any of you southern Oklahoma or north Texas guys should join us for a good day of riding? LearJet, you're about two hours away if you'd like to go. I'd love to meet some more KF'ers.
We go out there at least once or twice a month, so there'll be other rides later this year too.

Fantastic! Looking forward to the ride!
We'll be parking (most likely) along the gravel road that runs parallel to the front fence line. I have a white F150 with a black hood.
Look for two KLX's and an old guy on a XR650R. That'll be us!
What type of vehicle will you be driving Shadetree?

I drive a white, Chevy Z71 4x4 pickup. Of course the KlX will be a dead giveaway. I may have a buddy with me. His bike is a XR 400, unless he brings his blue DRZ 400 instead. My bike has a Muzzy, makes quite a bit of noise and throws rocks...or so I am told. I'm gassed and loaded.
See you guys tomorrow!

Hey, Guys. Great ride today at Red River! David, thanks for inviting me along and introducing my buddy, Nate and I to some of the best woods riding I've had in awhile. That's one, sweet KLX you're sporting too.
Bill! You ROCK on that big, bad XR 650R! Thanks for letting me handle the reins for a few miles. My forearms would look like Popeye's if I rode that bad boy every day. I don't know how you hossed that beast through the woods like you did...not to mention over enough rocks to ballast the Queen Mary! That one kind'a got you though, didn't it. Your son is coming along just fine too. Watch it or he'll be dusting the old man before you know it.
For those who missed the ride at Red River, near the Texas/Oklahoma border, we missed you too. Talk about a perfect day to ride! Maybe next time.

AHHHHHH!!! I missed the first post. [sm=headbang.gif]
I would have loved to go. Never been to the Red River trails yet! Been thinking about hitting the grass track at Lake Draper Cross Timbers Trails.
