It doesn't affect all of them but I would want it fixed.
And under warranty
That's right, some of them are RED

weird they only say 09's.. When I got my 07 - the non-throttle side grip would rotate freely as if it were bigger than the bar itself.
I got a new Renthal bar and grips, so it doesn't matter to me - but still, pretty sure that affected all years.

I'm still not sure what the VIN# range is, but to find out if your bike had the grips replaced checked the VIN on the ride side of the head tube there should be a small punch at the end. Of course your dealer may have replaced the grip and not punched. I'm hoping mine is not punched because my grip is damaged from my first get-off!
I just checked and mine does not have the punch. I know that the guy who owned it before me had a pair of Specialized grips (which I thought was a bicycle only company). The dealer put the stock grips on before turning it over to me, so who knows. All I know is I got no punch and a damaged grip I want replaced for free.
OK edit once again. The VIN range is JKALXMT129DA00040 through JKALXMT189DA02820 T9F models
and JKALXMT179DA01332 through JKALXMT109DA02791 for CA models.

This whole thing is just silly... Grips are a $10 wear item that should be replaced within the first 6 months anyway... My grips come loose all the time, and I never crashed or died any of those times... lol.
