Default Rear wheel?

Would someone post a rear wheel removal/chain cleaning thread. I have a D606 waiting to be mounted and Kawasaki is slow in sending me the shop manual. I cant believe this is not in the owners manual. Thanks in advance.

Ryan.

i have the service manuals but the only thing i used them for was the torque for the axle nut,, if i remember correctly it was 72ft lbs... because the brake caliper is on top you dont even have to do anything with it.. just take the axle out and push the wheel forward and take the chain off then it comes right off....

As far as chain cleaning, I used Simple Green and a toothbrush. No it doesn't cut it as well as kerosene but it smells better and you don't need gloves to do it. After the initial cleaning I'm using Maxima Chain Guard lube and it goes on wet and then dries so it doesn't fling off and it doesnt attract dirt. Even after mud and sand running I find the chain to be relatively clean.

I think lubing the chain is overrated. I cleaned my chain a few weeks ago, and left it dry and it looks great and there is no oil all over the place. I know some of you long timers are going to scold me, but here we don't have sand, dust or other materials that wear down the chain, Plus being an O-ring chain I don't think the lube gets inside anyway. Ok let the verbal abuse begin.

Edit, I wanted to add that I will oil the chain, but just not every time I wash the bike, which is quite often. And I usually hold a rag on the chain and spin the wheel and try to get most of the oil back off, .....maybe its my OCD rearing it's ugly head, but that's life.
