I had a Trak Master on my KLX and it worked great, nice aggresive DOT tire. The rubber is a little soft on the road but it works nice off road.

I ran a Trak Master on my WR450 but it ripped it up pretty easy on the road, but that's somewhat my fault for the 4th and 5th gear power wheelies lol.

I'm running a Michellin AC10 on the rear now and although it cost a bit more, it wears much better.

I agree on the AC-10 comment, similar performance as the TM with better road manners and lasts longer, about $20 more per tire though, and the 110 mich. is much bigger than the 110 kenda, food for thought.

for the little KLX i do suggest a D606 if you do much on road riding...the Tm II"s are great to go from trail to trail but that is about it.I am talking from experience. i ran my TM II's from one trailhead to another at the H-M trails in west virginia and they were awesome offroad but left a bit to be desired on the road back to the other trailhead.I think the D606's would've been just fine for what i did except for when i had to crash....no tire would work for that...slippery snotty WV wet clay on an off camber corner......after a creek crossing....yep i crashed...either way those are my suggestions and either way i don't think you can go wrong.....The TM II is a really aggressive tire and the D606 is a true 50/50 in my mind......If you need to install a tire to work for a few months while doing everything than i would say the 606....but if you only go from dirt to dirt than the TM II is the way to go.

Are there 2 different K-270's? 1 Track Master II & 1 Plain K-270?

K270 and TM-II are different - the TM-II is the K760.

The K760 is my favorite. But it depends on how you use your bike. I think Truckman summed it up pretty good on post 13 of this thread.

I ended up getting the Kenda K270 5.1 x 18. I couldn't find any one selling tire irons today so I used Screw Drivers (Not Recommended.) It went pretty smooth but I put a few minor scratches in the rim. I will definitely get some Tire Spoons before I do the front. One thing I learned is to keep the new tire from trying to seat on the opposite side while stretching the bead over the rim. In other words keep the bead squeezed toward the center of the rim while stretching the bead over the rim.
