Default rear sprocket

What other bike rear sprockets fit the 09 250s. When looking online no one lists the KLX in there lists.

*Edit* Found some that will work but no 39 tooth. Any recommendations?

Try Vortex sprockets. They make a 39 tooth rear sprocket specifically for KLX's. I believe they are aluminum so they won't last as long as the stocker.

If I went to a 45T in back (with a 14T up front), what length chain would I need? And if I went with, say, a 47 or 48T in back, would it need to be longer still? AND, could I run the longer chain with the 45 so I could swap between the two?

I ran a 49T in rear with 13,14,15 up front and 110 link chain.
Now at 45T rear with 13,14,15 up front and 108 link chain. At least that's what I think. Isn't stock 106?

I bought the longer chain and cut it to length.

I run a 15T up front with the case saver in place. It's close between the chain and saver, but there is a gap and I never have observed any wear from contact between chain and saver. As close as the 15 is, I don't see how a 16T would fit with the saver.

I just added at 13T and couldn't tell a difference so Im thinking of adding a 45T or 48T to the rear. Is there a post which explains removal of the rear...
