Is there an after-market rear rack (larger than the stock 250 rack) available for the KLX250/300 bikes?

I don't know if this rack will work with the 250, but I have heard really good things about the promoto billet products. I had an XT225 for a short time and ordered one for that. I never installed it, though, because I traded the XT225 on my new KLX250S a week ago.

 

man that rack is expensive. $165 looks like billet aluminum though

i prefer this kind of rack....

It is billet Al. I think pretty much everything that promoto does is fabbed straight from billet Al. Yes, very expensive, but a top quality product. I learned about them from folks on a forum for the Yamaha XT225. That bike does not come with a rack at all, so a lot of folks are looking for rack options. This item was on the high end of the options, but seemed to me to be the best quality product. A few folks offered tube steel products very similar to the OEM rack on our bikes, and one vendor made one from Al sheet and polycarb (Load Lord). A lot of folks actually spoke highly of this product, but I was wary of the threaded holes into the polycarb.

On a side note, the H&M add is a blast from the past. Not that add specifically, but the store in general. I used to live in Finland, and H&M is a large clothing chain there. I assume they are throughout Europe, but I don't know really.

For $165 it better be billet! Now, for EMS_0525's rack, I see no problem with that price......

Don't bother messing with the rack, the frame can't take much. I mounted a 1.6 gal rear fuel tank...and

anyways im gonna be workin on my rack this weekend, grinding off the welds, and on monday i should have it all sprayed black... ill keep you guys posted
