Default Re-Conditioning My Bike.. Now with Pics!!

Hey guys, we got an apartment last April so, I'v kept my bike here since then.. Its quite close to the sea (about 500 metres) so most metal parts on my bike started rusting.. So today I removed everything that shows signs of rusting and I'm sending them tommorow to be galvanized.. The spokes were affected the worst! And some bolts.. I'm pretty sad actually.. My bikes has less than 7000Kms on the clock and it looks as if its really old.. But I hope it'll look good after I'm done with it!

To kind of pimp it out, i'm getting these parts galvanized in Gold :

Spoke Nipples
Rear Sprocket
Bolts that hold the brake disks

Heres the situation the bike is in right now!

As long as you've gone that far, now would be a good time to grease the steering and swingarm bearings...

Especially if you never have. Bike manufacturers barely put any grease in their new bikes, like they're trying to save money that way. I already serviced all my chassis bearings once this year, and I'm glad I did it early (300 miles or so).

Your '09 is in a box? It's still 2009! What happened?

try putting some silicone grease all over your bike. easyer to clean, stops rust. old scuba diving trick.
