radiator stop leak - safe?
well here it is, after a short ride in some local trails today, i noticed that my radiator was leaking, just a little. i thought it was the braces for the tank rubbing the hose but i stripped it down to make sure and found it where i didnt want too. it kinda late to ask is it safe, cus i put it in alreadly, ran the motor for a short time to make sure the fluid was topped off, but has anyone used this before, any problems at all i might need to know about.

Just curious, did it stop the leak? Even if it works I don't know if I would want to trust it to hold when I was out twenty miles from nowhere. I would check with a radiator shop to see how much it would cost to repair it.

yes, and acerbis tank. the rad was pushed in about 1/4 inch from a hard fall, but it never moved a row (i just woke up, cant remeber the proper name for it), just the out side. i felt "sweat" on my leg for a while when i rode, didnt think it was leaking, only a drop here or there. it only leaked when the bikes at temp, and i have only been riding to work and back for the last while, so it probally took 3 weeks and a good ride to notice what was really up. so far so good with the stuff, i added 1/2 a bottle of the stuff, says it treats up to 3 gallons. if i have any problems ill post them for sure. as always, thanks for the help.

Apparently you've wasted your money. It appears the best trail fix is a sachet of McDonalds pepper poured in the rad'!
"McDonald's pepper rescues Safari leader
Australasian Safari leader Jacob Smith has used his bush mechanic skills and a sachet of McDonald’s pepper to help maintain his lead in the motorbike section of the seven-day, 3600 kilometre motoring marathon.
Smith holed the radiator of his Honda 30 kilometres into the first stage of the day, but added the pepper and rode the remaining 450 kilometres of the day without problems, preserving his well-earned lead over of his brother, Todd.
Two-time Australasian Safari winner Ben Grabham is looming as Smith's greatest threat with two days to go. Riding a KTM, he dominated day five of the Safari, reducing Jacob Smith’s lead by nearly 18 minutes as the event did a three stage loop out of Laverton in the Western Australian outback."
