Default Radiator fan

Went to the mountains riding this weekend and the fan on the ol klx started to run all the time, warm or cold. Unplugged the temp senders no change. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.

Hey Ol Guy, what's happening, good to hear from you. As for the fan, I have 6600 miles on my bike now and I have only heard it come on twice. Both were on really hot days and really slow rides in first gear on single track. Not sure but you may have a sensor problem. If I remember right we have one temp sensor on each radiator. Let us know what you find out.

I think there's also a fan relay, you might want to pull it and check it to make sure it is working.

Also the smog gear is a killer, it made my fan come on all the time in tight woods stuff.

Well as it turned out it wasn't a part failure it was a mechanic failure. All the parts checked out. The last time Iput the radiator shroud on I got the fan switch wire between the shroud and the mount and pinched it. It wore through and made a circuit. My wife says to fire the mechanic.
