Default Raced my friend's stock 09 against my 07 351

I just wanted to see HOW much difference there was against a stock bike. Until then I really had no way to judge how much faster it got - I just knew it was faster from the seat of the pants feel.

We were riding a dirt road, and we both got in 3rd gear around 4k RPMs. We both hit it at the same time - and I got a huge smile on my face when I realized just how much faster than stock this bike is now

By the time I shifted into 4th, he was a good 4-5 seconds behind me, and I just kept pulling away. The bike is a bear now.

Anyone thinking of what mods to do - and you got a few hundo to burn, the big bore is hands down the best mod you can do for this bike to get more power.

DOOOO EEET!!

That's cool. I wonder how much these kits can change 1/4 mile performance, if it's enough to match or exceed a WF250R or X. I'd like to try sometime this summer, but I'd probably take off the Michelin AC10s before doing so.

I rode my buddy's 08 WRR with a CPU flash ($$$) and an FMF full exhaust. It felt like a moped compared to the 351

Nice! Are you going to try taking a run at his bike one of these days?

Even though my bike dynoed 2 hp less than my buddy's wr250r, my bike feels faster! That 351 must be a blast though!

I know, my point was this was the first time I could see how much faster the bike actually was over stock. Before that it was just guessing. With the race I saw just how much faster it made it.. A lot

cousinlarry you dont know it, but you just saved me A LOTTT OF MONEY....my bike is bone stock and i want power and torque and throttle response so bad...i came about five seconds away from trading my baby in for a ktm 450exc....but now that i know it is indeed "worth it" to do the big bore...350 is PERFECT, better gas mileage than 450, and although not as much power, still PLENTY more power then what it sounds like i crave for....

let me ask you something cousin larry, with ur beast being a 351 now, lets say you for example you are cruising in second gear @ 6-7 grand or so, and then you just snap the throttle as hard as you can and pull and lean back just a little bit? will that front end yank straight the **** up and smle at the sky? and i dont mean trying to do a real "wheelie" and ride it out...im just talking about a quick standing up from.
