Default Quick and Cheap L/P Mod

I wanted to raise the license plate without spending any money and still make it look stock - how's this? I removed the license plate and bracket, reversed the bracket, removed the reflector, drilled two 3/8" holes and bolted the whole thing back together. It raised the license plate by almost four inches - maybe not enough for KawiKathy, but it works for me

Looks good. I did the same thing to my bike, but cut the black plastic up a little. (cut off from right above where the old plate use to mount) ThenI added some heat to the edges and bottomto give it a more finished look. I'll take some pics of it later.

You're right "almost four inches" just doesn't work for us women, now if it was 7 or 8 inches....

I had to do something similar when my upper plate mounts ripped through, damn knobbies. I ended up leaving the brackets alone and just drilling 2 holes in the plate in the blank white outside the numbers. I wanted to do the same thing you did but the top corners of my plate are missing.

It was just beautiful out there, it must have got up to 85 degrees today. Oh and thanks for buying the beers afterwards!!

It's dark in the garage so here's the only one I have. You can see how I had to trim the "ears" on the plate, I figured it would be best to remove them instead of letting it rip farther.

Looks fine! I do like your black seat cover too! I bought one a while back and still haven't put in on.

I like it too-it tones down all that green and balances out the appearance.
