Default Questions for those with a 351cc kit

I finally got some money saved up and I'm looking at getting bill blue's 351cc kit, but I have some questions about it. What parts, sealants and special tools do I need to install it? What carb settings are you guys running? What's your average miles per gallon? I have a service manual, but are there any special instructions that I need to follow? After the install, what heat cycles and oil changes do I need to do?

I had Bills 331 kit- came with gaskets- only needed some high temp silicone for the valve cover gasket- I had a FCR 35 and the jetting stayed the same. For break in I ran regular oil- rode easy for 2-4 min to warm up than started to do roll ons of full throttle. Then backed off and let the motor slow the bike. Did this for 15 to 20 min then let cool off. Then did it again. then rode normal- at 500 miles I went back to bel ray oil 100% sin oil. I loved the 331 kit the 351 must be a blast- good luck. PS take pictures of you cam chain before you remove it- mine did not line up like I thought it would and I would have thought I put it together wrong if I did not have the pictures.

jpaul310 I just did a BB install, look for my thread and read it, I messed up a few things but it turned out OK, read it and avoid my mistakes.
Nothing really exotic is needed. The kit will include all the necessary parts. Just make sure not to lose anything along the way! I bought a new copper exhaust gasket and put it in along with my old one to seal up the header/head connection. Have antifreeze and oil ready. Get the shop manuals. Have a few big ziploc bags to put parts in so they dont get dirt/dust on them. Hitemp sealant (I used red permatex in the squeeze tube)

DaveG, care to share your FCR jetting?? my jets should be here soon, I'm trying to get a few people's setups and go from there. THANKS!!

just remembered.. You need a 6?7?8?mm (can't remember the size) allen wrench / socket to take off your head and to torque it properly..
have fun
