question for tm36-68 carb gurus

So while installing the needle jet p4, it wouldn't glide into the hole or connect with the threading, was there any fitment issues with your carb? The stock p8 fits in fine. Any thoughts?

The P4 should go right in just like the P8 or other needle jets in this series. Possibly bent or some brass "flashing" excess left over from the manufacturing process. It should fit.
