Putting the KLX on a diet

I've been thinking about doing the same with mine. I thought there was a thread here where one of the regulars stripped his bike down as light as he could, but I can't find it.
My only regret is that I didn't look for a plated KLX 300 instead, so instead of selling mine and buying one, I could probably make mine a E start 300 with less hassle.
My first thoughts are speedo/tach, light, battery (already done) and wiring.

i'm not trying to make it a KTM or a YZ125 at 208 lbs, although it would be nice!!!!
I'm just trying to be creative and low budget minded. I have the suspension sorted to my liking, the FMF pipe is a little loud for me but is going to stay regardless.
I don't have power issues so my fat *** is not the problem. I'm just thinking what is so different from a MX bike that makes them so much lighter besides the starter and battery.
Obviously the DOT crap and extra copper wiring to power all the DOT junk.......

I do. Works for me. First, find the switch. Then find the other one.
I put a big lock on the rotor. If they want the bike, they'll pick it up and put it in the pickup.
