Pulled the choke out this morning.....literally
Pulled the choke out this morning.....literally, the whole choke came out in my hand. It had rattled loose, or maybe was never tight. You might want to check yours. 4:30am barely awake, running late, and trying to work on my bike wasn't working, so I took the helmet off and threw the backpack in the truck and just drove to work. When I looked at it after work, it was a simple matter of screwing it back into the carb.

Dan,
Good reminder that we ride the two wheeled equivalent of a sewing machine. What hasn't come lose yet will, and sometimes at a most inoportune moment. I for one will check my choke assembly tomorrow morning, and I will be holding a bottle of Loc-Tite.....

Yeah it sucked at 4am, I was hoping that it wasn't anything too serious. I sat outside at lunch that day and thought man I wish I had been able to ride. I guess I need to go over the rest of the bike, and check for loose stuff.

Good thing it came out in your hand instead of rattling out on the road on the way to work with your choke lost on the road waiting to be found by some unsuspecting motorist's car tire and you with a gaping sucking chest wound in your carb.
Sorry for the over dramatization.
