Propblem shifting into first gear

Wow, pretty awesome that using a certain oil brand can change your gear ratios!! That's some sort of witchcraft or something. hahahaaaa ...
Man, people have some crazy beliefs when it comes to oil!

Yes, but same rpm = same speed ... unless the clutch is slipping.

Your engine , transmission, drive train, are all mechanical devices manufactured to tight tolerances, with almost zero play/slop. The only place you could have anything slipping is, as FM mentioned, in the clutch (that shouldn't be slipping if it's in proper working order)
Picture two sprockets of the same size connected by a chain. One rpm on the front sprocket will result in one rpm on the rear sprocket. No way to get any other result. You could cover those sprockets and chain with mud, cookie dough, or baby oil and one revolution on the front will get you one revolution on the back. Clean well oiled sprockets and chain will be easier to turn, (use less gasoline) but rpm to speed cannot change.
As I said in my first post, you could possibly see better mileage with a different motor oil, that would jibe with your second statement.

Cant see why you would want to sit in neutral with the clutch in for any length of time but I also dont see the harm. Can you explain?

Was just suggesting not to hold the clutch in while in neutral (Say sitting at lights) and that if you do hold the clutch in for a while and then select first at least on my bike it will graunch.
