As Promised - My Latest Mod

RE: As Promised - My Latest Mod
YYY.GUY,
I did provide a part number in the picture.
Now, as far as I know, there is nothing special about the PCV that you choose. We have been using all sorts of different ones. The reason I selected the one I did was that it fit the hose. That is the ONLY selection requirement I used.
If you can make it better, please feel free to do so.
The only reason I provide this stuff is I find it makes the KLX just a bit better.
Back when I was drag racing on a regular basis, we were always looking for a hundredth of a second here, there and everywhere. I think all the mods together, make the KLX a completely different motorcycle than what Kawasaki delivers to us when we pick it up.
Hope this helps.

The design of the PCV valve should be the same, however, they come in many different shapes and sizes. The one I listed was an in line design that works for this application. After reading all the posts I removed the mod, don't want to take any chances with my crankcase seals. A 6" peice of 5/8's heater hose worked as replacement for the original hose.

There's a similar mod over on KTM Talk but they say there that the PCV valve is not fast enough to operate at high RPMs. One of the members there is working on another valve implementation. When it is ready I'll post a link in if it is not KTM specific and I can't imagine it would be.
