Pro Taper KX high bend bars
OK i finally bailed out and bent the stockers, so i ordered a set of Pro Taper KX high bend. i went with the high bend because i feel that when i ride standing up going over whoops, that i am leaning too far over center. Hopefully the high bend will resolve that issue. I am only 5'7" so i am wondering what all of you taller folks have for bars, and also, are the Pro Tapers stronger than the stockers? i only dumped it in soft sand and tweeked them...

It's very common for the stock bar to bend that easily. The replacements will take a lot more impact before deforming. If you don't already have lever/hand guards they will be easier to install on the aftermarket bar.
....I see in your sig that you have something from Acerbis...

I like KX High Contour Pro Taper because they were an easy bolt on job.
-the KX High sits 4.25 inches high, making it the second tallest in the ProTaper catalog, right behind the Pastrana FMX bend.

No cable problems.

I put an over-sized moose bar on mine, with a 1" riser and moose racing hand guards, fit was plug and play and the hand guards were MUCH easier to work with on the aftermarket bar. Bar is lighter and more rigid. I feel like I could easily go another inch for more standing comfort but I wanted to try a moderate rise first. Another bonus is that the Moose bar was slightly narrower than stock so a little more tight trail friendly.

I had a question for those of you with the KX hi bend, can you fit a set of bark busters on with the cross bar still installed or do you need to remove it?
I was looking at moose, acerbis, or EGO hand guards as these seem to be the most popular. As for now i still have the stockers which flap in the breeze and would like some better hand protection !!
Thanks,
Anthony
