OK picture this...I'm in my underwear heading out to the garage to get the size of that Allen head screw:D:D:D, now if that isn't dedication then I don't know what is.[8D]

Ok I just got back, and the size is......3 mmNow the real question is can you get the vision of a fat guy with no shirt in his tighty whiteys out of your heads...yea I didn't think so.;)Its 11:30 and I have to get up early, heading to Kingston tomorrow. Later all, and have a good weekend.
Thanks deej.

And as soon as I get that "delete" button installed on the back of my head, that will be the first image I remove.

:D:D:DThat what I love about the edit button in this forum, you can always go back and fix stuff, and I always do......even other peoples stuff...:(I know I'm sick.[8D]
I love the new Google toolbar, it has a built in spell check, so no matter where you are on the net or what forum you are posting in, all you do is push the ABC button and there you go. It shows words spelled wrong and a drop down menu for the right choice(s).;) deej once again realizes he shared too much and leaves.

Ok deej, tried it and it worked!

Only glitch was that the battery was low and wasn't turning it over quick enough to light. Once I had it hooked up to the car, it started in a couple of cranks.

Thanks again.

I just read thru these posts and I think I get the idea on how to prevent this problem in the future. The only problem is that I have this problem NOW! I can't get my bike to start for nothing and I think I'm running the battery down for sure. :(.

So what is the best way to get my bike started now that its winter and it has set for several weeks? Remove the plug and drain the bowl of the carb?

This really has me bummed out.

honestly fellas. In the NW tip the bike over, flood the bowls, then crank it. Too many two strokes in my past.

You got it! Shut-off the petcock, drain the carb bowl, close the carb drain, open the petcock and start'er up! Thats one of the first things my dealer told me when I first purchased the bike...before I even drove it off the lot.

Of course, now that I'm running a pumper it just starts every time [sm=exactly.gif]

yup, that is all you need to do. turn off gas, drain float bowl. you dont have to remove the bolt. just a couple of turns out and the gas will start dribbling out the of the hose behind the bolt. after that, tighten it back up, turn on the gas, maybe tap on the side of the carb for luck. and then fire it up. if your battery is low from trying to start it eariler, (like it had done to me) hook it up to your car, pull the choke, and get a jump. my bike has been sitting for the last two months and after doing all the stuff above, it started right up.

Thank you Deej, and all you guys on here giving great advice. I'll be honest I'm not much of a mechanic, I change the oil and lube the chain and that's about as tech as I get. I was so bummed when it wouldn't start. Usually I ride it more but I've been on vacation in Japan for almost 3 weeks now and it's winter here. I found that screw at the bottom of the carb, thats to you excellent photo, drained it. Turned the gas back on and choked it and sure enough it started right away!!! Man I'm so happy! Thanks so much. So prevent this just run the carb out of gas routinely? This won't hurt the motor? My friend warned that the last few seconds of this might make the motor run to lean? Do you believe this? Thanks again guys, I'm going to take a spin around the block thanks to the awesome advise!!!
