Default please help with 1st time purchase

after alot of research im ready to look at a 07 KLX 250 in my area. At first I was put off by a 250 but plan on strapping a 351 BB kit on it immediatly. Can anyone tell by the pics if this was originally an off road version that was titled? I dont see any turn signals in the pictures although the seller says it has them (removed? I dont know) also, is the Big Gun exhaust a good match for the B&B 351 kit? any jetting recommendations for sea level with high hummidity? my only experience with a similar bike is a 01 Honda XR400 which I had titled for the road. Thanks in advance for any and all input.

I beleive all newer 250's are street legal from the factory, the 300 was the "Dirt" only version. Also in the pictures shows a starter and battery, the 300 didnt have either. So to me it looks like a 250S stripped of its street componenets.

I think if the gas tank is steel and has a locking cap you are safe.
They only came on street legal bikes ( i think),,,, check the title against the serial number on the bike.
If you have a title, whats the difference???

looks like a 250, but they put a kick on it. i would say go for it just for the kick, looks like a good bike too.

Yea, they used to make an offroad 'only' KLX250 (not s) in the 90's but it has been discontinued for a while. Assuming you are in the U.S., I'm 99.9% sure any 06+ KLX250(s) is titled from the factory.

+1 on the installed kickstarter being rad

I also see the buddy pegs, definitely a 250S.

Yeah the kick start was the first thing I noticed too. One of these days I'm gonna do that mod. Good luck on getting a bike.

thanks for the input.

The bike has 1800 miles, and the asking price is $2900, if it can be had for $2500 is this a decent price? also, are the turn signals expensive to replace if they are in fact altogether missing?

well the turn signals were quoted by a local dealer at around $220 all around. If he doesnt have them, thats a barganing point right there. any cheaper aftermarket reccomendations? People treat motorcycles like bicycles around here, so after nearly getting killed 5 times on my XR400 I swore I would never go without signals again.
