played today
I got out for a little playing around on the KLX today and my riding partner came out too. A friend of ours took his truck and camera and took some decent pics, but i have not got them yet..I'll post when i do. But below are the pics i took..I didn't get any action shots, but I will post them when I receive them...
This is before we left.....
This is the new play area we found..close to Tim Horton's and the hospital...perfect spot......
Went for coffees afterwards, our camera guy went home and grabbed his FZ1......that's him in blue..
The green monster..
and of course Stacy's yellow hornet.........
My other friend Len showed up..he works out west and is home for the week so he was happy to get out on his new ride......
Both Stacy and i got some good air off the hills, not much for those who can really ride but it sure seemed like a lot to us...haha..and my vortex throttle seems to work great, I love the quick response it gives the bike...I am very happy...can't wait to get the muffler on and go back for some more punishment.

Okay..here are the action pics as promised...yeah yeah I know i should have MX boots on..didn't expect to play, just thought we were going for coffees..next time i promise...we are amateurs as you will see by a few of the landings..lol
gassing up....$1.33 per liter..good thing it only hold 1.8 gallon
this one shows the need for better front shocks....
Okay time to pay attention all evil kneival wannabees...this is the wrong way to land......3 clips from same landing..sorry stacy I had to do it..lol....
I must have looked at this pic 20 times and i am still chuckling..he didn't go down though.

Looks fun! I need to get mine off road, haven't beed in a while. Seeing the pics makes me want to get out there. Man that last pic looks like it may have hurt coming back on the seat. That Suzuki Bandit looks like a nice way to go across the country. Looks comfy and has lots of storage!

That last landing, I didn't witness it, but I think he said the seat came up and in his own words "slapped him in the *****"..a 290 LB bike doesn't "slap" it "kicks"....lol
I'll post a pic where you can see our camera man's truck at the bottom..It's just all one big hill with a large flat area at the top, so you don't land on any down slope, just a huge tabletop...I think Stacy was a good 2 ft in the airwhen he planed out and gravity started to do it's justice.
Here you can see the truck in the background.....
And here is the view from where the truck was.....
Yeah my friend Len with the Bandit really likes it, he had a KLR650 last year, but it wasn't what he thought it was, so he traded it in and bought a strictly streetbike..he hopes to take the wife on a coule trips thissummer i guess..since he works 3 weeks out west and is only home for a week, then goes back.
