...I clean my chainguard, too...

I mean, if I gotta take it off to thuroughly clean the chain and sprocket, I might as well clean it, too.

Like I said, I ride it to school and I'd prefer not to get dirty on a 3 mile trip down the road.

I made a new one as the stock one was a bit big and got in the way when changing tires. I probably need it for inspection in my state.

My KLX didn't come with it when I bought used. One of the gate guards told it was required or they'll stop me from passing through later on. So now I have one. But even if the gate guard didn't tell me, I would evently put one on.

FYI: 20w-50 motor oil slings off the chain pretty good. But does a very good job of keeping the chain lubed.

Hey Learjet,

Get some friggin' chain lube and tell the 'gate guard' that he should spend more time worrying about expanding his ant farm or what brand of suppository he's planning on switching to rather than troubling himself with useless restrictions on others.

The chain guard was intended for passengers only. There is no way to get your pants dirty as your whole foot and leg is way in front of the chain guard anyway.

Mike

the chain guard is as useful as pink tassels, but the chain guard dosnt look as cool as the tassels lol, bin it man. i get some chain lube on my rear mud flap but looking at the amount of S**t on there as well, im not worried unless i put my American jeans around the mud flap.

I just pulled my chain guard off 10 minutes ago since I was already out putting my Powermadd handguards on; looks a lot better now!
