Default Pittsfield, MA pictures, new brake lever mod..

Started off Saturday morning going up to MA with three friends. Started at October Mtn and about three miles into the place we realized that it sucked. It was a frickin boneyard! Nothing but big case buster rocks, boulders, etc. It was bumpy, harsh, and un-forgiving.

We turned around a couple miles in, and I managed to drop the bike snapping off my brake lever. I didn't have a spare, and I wasn't about to let that end my day, so I improvised and it actually worked!!!

hahaa

Anyways, we packed it up and went 20 miles West to Pittsfield State forest...

THERE is what we were looking for!!! Hundreds of miles of dirt trails, mud, hill climbs.. It was frickin awesome. We did a good 100 miles in the woods. There were some very fun hill climbs, and when you get to the top there was some awesome sights to see. All the leaves are turning, and looking down into the valleys was just awesome.. Definitely going back to this place!!!!

Some pics:

If anyone's over in that area, I HIGHLY recommend this place!!

Awesome man, I love power line pictures. I think there should be some sort of unwritten open agreement between power companies and ATV and motorcycle riders to let us run any power line without any hassles. Wouldn't that be a cool job, working for the power companies cruising the areas looking for problems, and getting paid at the same time. Hmmmm sounds like a good small business for someone to start.

Good riding country.
Well done on the bush mechanic improvisation.
Nothing worse than a ruined riding day caused by an early mishap.

I love riding power lines also, but it is good to get away from them sometimes, I always feel kinda, well, sorta weird after I ride there, Kinda wired I guess?
Pittsfield is GREAT riding over there, I have been in there several times with the quad, aint got there with the KLX yet.

Great pics . I love the brake lever mod

I'll second Deej on the power lines. I'd happily sign a waiver and pay the power companies an anual duty to ride the power lines in peace.

October Mt. only sucks when you know of a better place to ride or when you snap off your clutch lever 5 minutes into the trip Oops. I'll have to try Pittsfield before they close it looks like fun.

hahaa, no, October Mtn. sucks PERIOD!!

Seriously.. It was WAY too rocky to even be fun.

Might be cool on a big cushy quad, but it sucked the big one on bikes!

Oct. Mt. is challenging and fusterating as hell but you probably missed the cool parts like the abandoned dam. Luckily I had my Leatherman to trim down my clutch lever + repair the brush guard.
