A 500 mile GPS guided off-road adventure for completly street legal motorcycles. The course will consist of mostly sand and gravel woods roads with whoops, deep sand, mud and watercrossings. Appx 10% will be on pavement. AMA membership, license, registration, insurance and inspection are required. DOT knobby tires and four stroke motors only. No Trail Bikes or Two-Strokes

Yeah, you need an AMA membership to ride the Dirty Daubbers ride in Mill Hall, PAtoo. Somehow, they award points, and there'sawards at the end of the season. According to the AMA District 7 website:

A basic system of 10 points per event will be awarded in the 2007 season within the DualSport class.
Riders will be awarded points for working their clubs event.
Riders must enter at least 5 events to qualify for year-end awards and prizes.

eric, you should be an AMA member. they're the ones fighting for us. i'm a member and have been for quite a while now. without them fighting on our behalf it won't be long before you won't be able to ride ANYWHERE.

Maybe i will joing then.... i thaugth that was only for racers..... and im no racer. I guess its like the NRA. Well ill stop over the website and see what its about.
