Default Pilot Mountain Hare Scramble - Helmet Cam

Some entertainment ... keep in mind it was 95 degrees in the baking sun with near 100 % humidity, lol

Thanks. It was a 1.5 hour race, as many laps as you can do in that time. I got in 3 laps, I'm not sure how long the course was. I want to say 8 or 9 miles. I know I saw mile marker 7 out there somewhere. Doesn't seem too long, but those are some pretty tough miles and the heat and humidity were brutal, not to mention the dust. It was a lot of fun, though, especially the hill climb, that was awesome. The descent back down was pretty scary, though. More like a controlled fall, trees on either side, with even steeper drop offs if you went off the narrow trail.

He must have gotten tangled up with the guy next to him and as he was going down he shot over about 4 or 5 lanes and nailed my back tire or swingarm. I definitely felt the jolt, he hit me hard. Nothing I could do, I just braced for impact and kept on the throttle. I think I know who it was, and if so, he's a really good rider and actually passed me back at the place where the Kawasaki and another bike was stalled and as I went around them he went around me, then left me in the dust, I never saw him again. lol He's usually in the top 3 or so in my class and those guys are on a whole other level compared to me. I have a ways to go before I can keep up with them.

Thanks dude! This is the first year I've made it to every race so far. I'm going to try to do the whole series if I can swing it. 6 races down, 10 to go.

Nice! Yeah , great footage, great view of that guy getting tangled and coming right at you as he goes down. That's whats cool about the helmet cams. I watched the first half, or so, I'll catch the rest on another rainy day when I cant ride Best of luck on the next 10! Sounds like a lot.

Sweet video man, inspires me to do more and ride more! Looked a bit like slow and steady wins the race... or at least passes a lot of crashes! Hope that dude on the hill was okay.
