Thanks for all of the information. Got another question. Im at 250-500ft elevation, Im planing on going with the 128 main and 3rd clip. Also drilling the slide, and drilling the choke to .018. I have the FMF Q4 without the power bomb. Kouba screw out 2.5 turns. Does this sound about right?
Thanks, Rick

Its a KDX snorkel. I ended up cutting the top off mine and using it as a duct so I don't hear the noise coming out of the airbox. The bike runs better with out the lid on but its too noisy for me.

Got it done and all I can say is WOW, what a difference especially off road single track. Throttle is so crisp. Mods were well worth it. Oh and by the way it even starts lol.
128 main jet, slide drilled, choke drilled.018, FMF Q4 slip on, kouba screw 2.5 turns. Im at 300-500ft in theTexas piney woods. Really a big change. Thanks for all the information. Rick

EDit: For me the stock needle has been working fine. I shimmed it up with a thin washer (can't recall the thickness) a la the KLR 22¢ mod.

I just had to find out, so, I exchanged my 35 Pilot for a 40 on my 331. The decel pop is gone, and it's just a burble now. Kouba screw was turned out 4 with the 35, now it's just about 1 turn out. That tells me a 38 would probably be about perfect for my setup. Oh, well, I rarely get up to 10000+ feet, so, maybe I'll be OK with a 40.

It's removing the L-shaped "snorkle" from the top of the air box. Take off the seat, grab the snorkle, and work it out of there by pulling up. You get a bit less resistance to air flowing into the box with no snorkle than if you have the KDX200 snorkle...but, you also have more intake noise.
