So the screen that you cut off of the 1-1/8 Quiet insert, is that screen the spark arrestor? I want to be quiet but I want to be quiet and not burn down the forest.

What is the point of the 6 holes? Is that just so you could attach your extension pipe?

 

the extension pipe is the spark arrestor/insert from the Q4 - the six holes is for attaching the Q4 piece to the quiet core... you just take out the q4 insert, flip it around, and attach it to the quiet insert.. you will still have a spark arrestor.

 

Was this how it was designed? If so, I'm surprised they wanted you to do the work.

 

Stroker, no it wasnt supposed to be designed this way.. Its just my own mod maximizes quietness and gives up no performance.. all you hear when you open up the bike in high rpm is the air box.. its like having the stock pipe on
