Default Pics from our short ride at the farm

My son was in from Chicago so we headed to the farm for a short ride. Nice and muddy from the recent rains and SNOW (yes, really, in the sunny south!)

Nothing too exciting but we had a good time. Had to take the chain saw and clear some trees that had fallen across the trails. We left one that was about 18" to 24" in diameter across the trail....and had a lot of fun practicing our log jumping technique...stand on the pegs, push down on the bars as you approach, and roll on the throttle just before the front tire hits the log. (sorry no pics of this). Spent some time chasing each other around the hay bales and doing donuts and drifts in the wet grass!!

Roll the pics.....

+1 for having a Ranger with 4x4

I cheated on this pic...it was taken back in the fall when I baled the hay..makes for a great playground (it's a stiched photo...hope it comes through)

Wow, for only being in NC it sure looks like CT/MA! I love it!

Awesome. Gotta love being by a creek in the winter. That's where me and my dad often end up when we're just riding around.

Looks like lots of fun. Can't wait to get my 4x4 this summer (but not a Ford lol)

Which model box is that on the back? And how did you mount it?

Nice pics, kmac, I really like that stitch, makes you feel like you are standing right there. Me and a buddy were going to ride today, but it's like 30 degrees here today. Brrrr. We rode Sunday, but at least it got into the 40's that day.

Thanks for the compliments....the farm is my little slice of heaven that I can ride on any time (~600 acres total between me, my sister, and brother-in-law). I just keep adding trails as I have time. Anybody that makes it thru central NC and wants to ride drop me a line.

Dragone - as far as tree stands go, you're right...great deer country...to good as a matter of fact...we lease the property to a father and son. All told they probably have close to a dozen stands scattered about. I learned last night that we have a "poacher" who has put up a stand on our property....gotta do some undercover work now.

TomN - the box is a Pelican...can't remember the size. I'll be at the farm over the next couple of days so I'll try to get the size and some pics of how it is mounted. Been on there for a couple of years through all kinds of riding with a ton of tools and no problems. It's great.

Nobrakes - I'm off work 'til the 4th and will be heading to the farm several days. It's gonna be cold and maybe wet but if you want to go give me a shout.
