Pics of KLX250S farkle progress...

I'll add this to my farkle thread...
There's been discussion about led 1157 tail light bulbs but I haven't seen one that really impressed me. I went this route instead. I'm very impressed with the "Stopper" brake light design and brightness. Came w/ stainless hardware. Made by GYB (Got Your Back), cost $18. I also added a small LED marker light from wally as an extra tail light.

Great job! This is good inspiration for me as I get ready to get my bike. It truly shows what an adventure bike is. It's making your bike into something you are proud to own and take it where ever you want to. Thanks!

I'm new here, but not to bikes. Prolly gunna pull the trigger on a '12 red this week. As i start to think about some add on's, i'm looking at your side bag spacers and wondering how ya did that?
Any info and direction would be great. And yes i've gone through a couple of sets of wally world side bags on my klr.
Thanks. Your bike is very inspirational!

Thanks for the complements... You guys are gonna love the KLX.
I made the exhaust standoff from some metal that was stiff enough but bendable. It attaches under the fender using the front bolts that mount the Givi top box plate. I added a round plastic spacer between the standoff plate and frame rail above the muffler for more strength. Also covered the rear plastic panels w/ clear packing tape to prevent scuffage.
This was my low-buck route to add some luggage. If money was no object I like the TCI and Happy Trails rack systems.

skid plate, mirrors
Try the Moose Racing skid plate, great fit, easy to install, protects a lot.
Also, try some bendable, flexible mirrors. Essential if you go down.
One more thing, get rid of the stock, long stalk turn signals - they'll hit if you go down. Replace with shorty LED lights (you'll have to put loads in line but it is worth the effort.

Got it!
Picked up a new RED '12 Wed.
Put on the TCI windscreen last night, and called HT & ordered a tail rack.
Next up-skid plate, mirrors, turn signals.
I've got to go study up on how to post pics, then i'll show it off(only after it's plenty dirty). As an ex-klr'r, this 250 is just sooo much fun!
Sorry about the hijack-but thanks DYNO & OTD for insight.

You're right on the windscreen. This thing has great coverage! Felt much better than I could ever get my klr with 3 different screens.
Not sure if i should have ran the brake reservoir line in front of mounts toward key(i did this) or the other way on tank side. I notice the way i have it, it is a little more work getting the key in.
Got to do a little buzzing around our local beaches today and ended up at a local OC Vintage bike event in Huntington. At red lights i like splitting lanes to get at the front of the line to get up with the harley's. I love pissin' those doods off.
I'm just loving this little bike.
And yes, if you have any tips on posting the pics that would be appreciated.
Thank you again.
