Nice work! This is what I want to do to my bike for a trip from eastern ks to colorado rockies. Is that the best windshield that is made for a klx? Those lights are sweet. How well do they light the road? I assume they are better than the stock headlight. I've noticed my highbeams suck but lowbeam works great. I think I need an adjustment? Can you convert the headlights to HID's?

Windshield is TCI. Very good quality. $185 shipped from: TCI Products Adventure Touring Windscreen Kawasaki :: MotorcycleGear.com

I wanted the driving lights so I stand out to cars more than anything. Trying to stack the deck in my favor when it comes to drivers seeing me coming and not turning/pulling out in front of me. In conjunction w/ my hi beam the bike shows up pretty good now. At night the LED lights hit the road in front of the bike and to the sides mainly. They don't project real far down the road. I probably won't ride this bike too much after dark anyway.

My headlight was aimed way too high when I got the bike. I adjusted it down until the cutoff was right on low beam and then the high beam was useable.

A few pics of the top case mount and bracket I made to keep bags off of muffler. I may eventually buy a rear rack and mount the Givi on it. Right now it is mounted w/ spacers to the tool bag mounts.

I've got a TCI windscreen, too. Makes commuting to/from work a lot less stressful. From time to time I remove it to go on weekend dirt road rides but when I need to hit a section of paved highway with it removed, I am reminded why I bought it in the first place. Handlebars then become something that you hang onto for dear life.

Did you modify/beef up your rear frame any? Will it take the extra weight that includes your baggage/contents? I have an Outback system (from TCI) that bolts to the passenger peg bosses to help distribute the weight to a stronger part of the frame.

Your lights look awesome. I want to add some more front lighting eventually, too. I want oncoming traffic to think that they are facing a Union Pacific locomotive and need to exercise mucho caution.

I hope your planned ride goes great. Be sure to post details/pix.

I checked this out but it does not seem that they make one for a 2007. Any one else buy one for an 09-10 and put it on an 07.

Great looking bike!

New addition to the bike. I repurposed a DirecTV dish brace to work as a second kickstand and lift either wheel off the ground for tire service on the trail. Bike is surprisingly stable. When lifting back wheel the steering is locked and velcro strap locks the front brake. A brace similar to this is also available commercially. Next thing I'm looking at is the Sweet Cheeks seat concept.

I have to admit to being a bit of a minimalist when it comes to farkles, be they on bikes, boats, cars, etc. Always preferred the clean, stock look...

However...........WOW! This is custom quality work, expertly rendered. Sure, the bike looks different, but the changes look like the factory boys at KAWI sat around one lunch hour and dreamed up a few factory options and this is the result.

Congrats, DYNO, very impressive work there.

Thank you sir, we think alike. When possible I like if mods can be mistaken for factory parts. I hated on one hand to loose the clean factory look in the first pics but need the bike to be the best tool for the job at hand. I talked to the Sweet Cheeks seat guy today. Turns out he's about 20 min away from me. Will have one of these before my TAT trip. 200 mile days on the stock seat worries me as I'm use to this seat...
