Default Pics from Colorado June 6 '09

Bill and I rode the Four Mile District in Chaffee County, Colorado with some ADV riders the weekend of June 6th. Here's a few of the 351's while we were up there.

Bill

Bill, Charla, and 3 KLX's. Mine on the left, Charla's with the Acerbis tank, and Bill's

Here's a few of the area.

Fantastic riding to be sure, the 10,000 ft altitude kicks my butt, though.

The 351's did great, and the new 1.1 tanks held up perfectly.

There was a lot of interest in the bikes, I must have let it go out on 5 test rides, and Bill had his go out on a few also.

I think there were about 60 people showed to camp and ride and hang out and meet each other.

+1 Wish I were there.
I know you guys are in KS. How long does it take you to drive to CO for your ride weekends?

From Wichita to Buena Vista, the closest town, is 11-12 hours. 640 miles. You know you've taken a drive, but it isn't too terrible, really.

The morning temps were about 40-50 depending on which camp you were at. It snowed about 1/2 an inch the day after these photos were taken, but the Sun is harsh up there, so it didn't last. I got sunburned quick being up there. Great area, I kinda wish I lived up higher so it didn't hammer me so bad.

The 1.1 tank will be for sale after the 25th, and sells for $225. The full kit, from gas cap to your carb. I'll have it up on the website soon.
