for those of you who haven't ever seen this "2006" I keep referring to, here she is at the height of her glory before I exiled her off to northern IA. One of the biggest regrets I have in the last two years.
I just got an email a couple weeks ago from the guy I sold her to. I had been in contact with him ever since I sold the DRZSM last fall asking him if he would be interested in selling it back to me. I never got a reply. Then, out of the blue two three weeks ago he asks me if I would be interested in buying it. He was asking $3800 and he had taken the miles to 1500 or so. He would never answer my replies back to him when I wanted to see pictures and other technical stuff.
Anyways, thought I'd share a pic. It was an awesome bike. Yeah, this is the one that "barked like a rottweiller".

"$3,800"??????
I'll bet you wrote a 10 chapter lecture/novel back to him.

A "rottweiller" with a seat strap? Kind of a different concept I must admit.

nah, I just was surprised as hell that I may have a chance on getting the bike back. So I asked to see some pictures with some other questions before telling him what I would offer him and never heard back from him. The bike hasn't been on ebay or cycletrader either. I wished I had taken the exhaust off before Ilisted it for sale on ebay a year ago. He got the whole shebang- the bike with BigGun and other mods, only around 600 miles, all stock parts, and the 300 cylinder I bought earlier when I was going to kustomkraft it. But then again I got $4200 for all that so he did pay more than usual for it. Nonetheless, I still lost somemoney and thus is the reason I'm done selling.
As far as the seat strap, I leave it on because my girls grab it at times to hold on when I am getting on the bike after they've been put on. I also don't mind how it looks. Non issue for me.
